The Ennui collection was painted over the course of 6 years (2016 - 2022). The viewer is invited on the artists journey to enlightenment and self actualization that took place during this time. The collection also serves as a commentary on effects of capitalism on humanity and the desire for authenticity.

The work is characterized by gritty details, elements of realism, symbolic spiritualism, and stark colour contrast.
